Bio
David Bausman was raised in the Texas Panhandle. Spending most of his time on a farm when growing up, he found an interest in plants, animals and the mechanics of machinery.
His education began at Amarillo College and West Texas A&M university. He later earned his BFA and MFA degrees from Texas Tech University in Lubbock Texas. His graduate emphasis was in the area of Jewelry Design / Metalsmithing .
David maintains a very active exhibition schedule showing, showing regionally, nationally and internationally. His works have been selected for numerous juried exhibitions, as well as showing in group and solo exhibitions. He has numerous awards from regional, national and international exhibitions. Davids work has also appeared in a variety of books, magazines and newspapers.
Working primarily in the areas of hollowware, objects and art jewelry. His works are inspired by human relationships, animals, plants, and philosophy.
Currently David Bausman is teaching at Laredo Community College. In addition, he is producing one of a kind art pieces and a selection of production jewelry.
